I design. I code. Mostly these days I manage a brand and a handful of great people. I provide strategy and direction. I am a champion for the user, for common sense and clean code.
After a decade in web, I've spent the past few years building a team of full- and part-time designers at UofL to work flexibly in a rapid turn-around, no-budget environment in order to support the needs of the university. We focus on quality and consistency, and try to help many of the smaller academic departments and organizational units who cannot afford large-scale marketing campaigns.
I also teach a course in web design to students in the Hite Art Institute Department of Fine Arts at UofL. It's important to me to help impart user-centered, device-independent thinking to the next generation of designers.
